Actualización: Muchas gracias a todos los que han apoyado donando y compartiendo, realmente han sido un apoyo enorme para poder llevar a cabo esta tarea. Conseguimos reunir lo suficiente para poder realizar la operación el pasado Jueves 03. Ha sido una semana de recuperación mental y física para todos. Mi padre sigue sin la movilidad del lado izquierdo de su cuerpo, además todavía esperamos los resultados de la biopsia. Viene una larga recuperación y un enorme tratamiento.

El pasado sábado 21 de junio mi papá, un hombre de 62 años lleno de vida y dedicación, sufrió recientemente un accidente cerebrovascular. Tras estudios más profundos y varios días de observación, los médicos descubrieron que la causa real de este incidente fue un tumor cerebral que debe ser extirpado de urgencia para evitar que siga causando daños o lleguen a ser irreversibles.

Por culpa del ACV mi papá ha perdido la movilidad del lado izquierdo de su cuerpo, esto evita que pueda tener independencia y pone en riesgo su salud a medida que pasan los días sin el tratamiento. Solo la cirugía nos va a permitir frenar el avance de este tumor y darle la posibilidad de recuperar su calidad de vida.

Papá es un trabajador desde sus 16 años. Fue maestro y educó a generaciones enteras y también a sus 4 hijos, a quienes nos crio con valores, esfuerzo y amor. Después de jubilarse nunca decidió detenerse, decidió emprender y crear su propio taller de confección de ropa. Nunca quiso dejar de crear ni de aportar.

Lamentablemente, debido a la difícil situación económica de nuestro país, no contamos con los recursos suficientes para cubrir el costo total de esta cirugía. Ahora tenemos el diagnóstico y el equipo médico dispuesto a intervenir, pero debemos pagar los insumos quirúrgicos y las herramientas médicas, ya que nada de esto está cubierto por el sistema de salud.

Last Saturday, June 21, my father, a 62-year-old man full of life and dedication, recently suffered a stroke. After further tests and several days of observation, doctors discovered that the real cause of this incident was a brain tumor that must be removed urgently to prevent it from causing further damage or becoming irreversible.

Because of the stroke, my dad has lost mobility on the left side of his body, which prevents him from being independent and puts his health at risk as the days go by without treatment. Only surgery will allow us to stop the tumor from growing and give him the chance to regain his quality of life.

My father has been a hard worker since he was 16 years old. He was a teacher and educated entire generations, including his four children, whom he raised with values, hard work, and love. After retiring, he never decided to stop working. He decided to start his own clothing workshop. He never wanted to stop creating or contributing.

Unfortunately, due to the difficult economic situation in our country, we do not have sufficient resources to cover the total cost of this surgery. We now have the diagnosis and the medical team ready to operate, but we must pay for the surgical supplies and medical tools, since none of this is covered by the health system.
