Hi, my name is Sean, and I never imagined I’d be in a position where I’d have to ask for help like this.

Last month, I was unexpectedly laid off from my job. Shortly after, I was involved in a car accident that my insurance did not cover. As a result, I now have two herniated discs in my back, which has made daily life extremely painful and limited what I’m physically able to do.

Before the accident, I was getting by through driving for Uber, but due to my injuries and loss of car, I’m no longer able to do that work. Losing that income has made an already difficult situation even harder.

At the same time, my 4 year old pup Luka has become seriously ill. After an emergency trip to the vet last month, I used every dollar of my savings to cover his ER care. Now, he urgently needs surgery as well as his yearly vaccinations, and I simply have no funds left to give him the care he needs.

I’ve reached out to local assistance programs and charities, but unfortunately haven’t been able to secure help in time. I’m now facing eviction and struggling to cover even basic necessities while I continue searching for work I can physically manage.

My dog has been my emotional support through some of the hardest moments of my life. The thought of losing him, or being unable to keep him safe and out of pain, is devastating. He is such a sweet boy and does not deserve to be suffering just because I am.
