His name is T-rex...silent T.
When I was looking for a cat, I didn't realize that instead of me saving him, he would be saving me. I don't think I have loved a pet so much since my dog, Bear. Rex is super smart, funny, loving, and oh so playful. But then, the other day, he wasn't acting like himself.
I took him to the vet because he kept throwing up clear fluid...so they took some X-rays and ran blood work but nothing came back. They  hospitalized him that night as well to make sure he was getting hydrated. Sent him home the next day, only for me to see him go from good to bad again..so I took him back AGAIN. It was late when i brought him in so that night they hooked him up to an IV and in the morning told me they'd be doing a barium test & X-rays which would show any blockage in the intestine.
Tonight, I get a call, and Rex is going into surgery.  Then, only a couple hours later I got a call from the vet explaining to me that he is doing his best to save him. Rex's intestines have overlapped and has caused a block in blood flow which then lead to his intestines being dead. Our vet re-attached the good parts back together and now we are hoping and praying for a healthy Rex to come home.
I don't like to ask for help because I have always been the kind of person to get things on my own, but right now, all I need is help. I am starting this campaign to ensure that Rex gets the medical care he needs because  I just want him to be okay. It's also about to be the little guys' first birthday! Anything will help and once the vet bill is covered, any remainder left is going to a charity to help animals in need.
