Hi, my name is Dante, and I’m reaching out because I’m in every pet parent's worst nightmare.
I’m 29 years old, working hard and doing my best to stay afloat, but like a lot of people, I live paycheck to paycheck. Recently, my world was turned upside down when my 10-year-old German Shepherd—my best friend, my daily companion, and honestly my emotional anchor—was diagnosed with late-stage leukemia.
Despite the diagnosis, he’s still trying his best to be himself. He still tries to greet me with excitement, still wants to be by my side, and still has that spark in his eyes. Mentally, he’s strong, loving, and full of life—which makes this even harder.
The recommended treatment is chemotherapy, which could give him more quality time. Time to keep enjoying life, time for more walks, more moments, and more memories. Unfortunately, the cost is far beyond what I can manage on my own right now.
I’m asking for help to give him a fighting chance. Any donation, no matter how small, would go directly toward his treatment and care. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this would mean just as much.
He’s given me unconditional love every single day of his life. I’m just trying to give him a little more time in return.
Thank you for taking the time to read this—it truly means more than I can put into words.
