Hi, my name is Solange, and I’m writing this with a heart full of hope, fear, and love.
Goku is my dog—but more than that, he’s my family, my source of strength, and my everyday reason to keep going. He was rescued in Peru by a kind family who brought him to the U.S. just months after my beloved dog Cooper passed away. When Goku came into my life, he brought joy back into my home. He healed our hearts just by being himself—sweet, goofy, and endlessly loving.
Recently, I took Goku to the vet for what we thought were minor issues—an eye infection and a skin allergy. But that day changed everything. The vet noticed a lump on his back left leg. It had started small and previous vets had told us nothing to worry about. But this time, it was different.
Dr. Okeke, from Veterinary Care of Bedford, ran tests and gave us the news no pet parent ever wants to hear: the tumor is cancerous.
My heart broke.
Dr. Okeke is the only doctor I trust with Goku’s life. She’s not just a vet—she’s a kind, compassionate human being who understands the deep love and fears that come with being an animal parent. She’s doing everything she can to help, but treatment is expensive—more than I can afford on my own.
Goku is still full of life. He’s happy, energetic, always getting into mischief, and never leaves my side. He gives me strength to get out of bed every day, especially when life feels heavy. He’s my companion, my little shadow, and the reason I smile even on my hardest days.
Now he needs me—and I need your help.
I want to give Goku every chance to beat this. The cost of treatment—testing, surgery, medication, and follow-ups—is overwhelming. Every donation, no matter how small, will go directly toward helping Goku fight for his life.
If you can't donate, please consider sharing Goku’s story. It would mean the world to me.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for reading, for caring, and for helping me fight for the one who has never stopped being there for me.
