Hi, my name is Meron. I’m raising funds for my friend Metiti, who is fighting kidney disease in Ethiopia. She is currently in the hospital and relies on continuous dialysis. But the cost of treatment has become overwhelming, and she can no longer afford the life-saving care she urgently needs.

During my visit to Ethiopia last May, she wasn’t feeling well, yet she still came to meet me. We even managed to laugh together. When I asked about her condition, she shared how expensive each treatment was. I didn’t realize then just how heavy her burden was and now I’m scared, because without financial help, Metiti may not be able to continue dialysis at all.

In Ethiopia, patients with kidney failure must pay for everything themselves: every dialysis session, every test, every medication. The expenses are far beyond what an ordinary family can afford. Without multiple dialysis treatments each week, survival simply isn’t possible.

Metiti is one of the strongest people I know. Even while unwell, she always made time for her friends and stayed connected with us. She deserves a chance to keep fighting.
