Hello my name is Lys and this is my former foster Extrasolar, also known as Lulu the mini poodle! She was a breeder surrender. She was sadly abused and discarded by her original owner for about 8 years of her life. Lulu , along with her 12 of siblings, were forced to breed as a means of profit to backyard breeding. Offered a second chance, she was taken in by Waldo’s Rescue Playpen, and was placed under my care. Lulu was very skittish at first annd was cautious of her surroundings, even flinching at a closing door or the drop of an empty water bottle. And any sudden movement towards her would cause her to cower in fear and uncertainty. I took my time to be gentle and caring with her to help give her the confidence to slowly teach her to trust in humans again. And after a bit of time, she has shown herself to be so gentle, sweet, quiet, with so much spunky personality! I had grown attached to her silly little quirks and how much of a kind old soul she was on the inside. And soon after helping her grow more comfortable around others, I thought it was time to take her to her first adoption event. There, she was interviewed by a “sweet”older woman and swiftly adopted by the first hour. I had thought she was the luckiest pup ever, from being a backyard breeding dog to being awarded a home to someone who would care about her. Sadly, after only a month and a half of adoption, Lulu’s new mom had grown tired of her because of separation anxiety. Yet Lulu had not known any better, as she was unfortunately separated from her siblings, and had parted from my dogs that offered her company, to a home being the only dog with no other friends other than her new mom. And what went from falling in love with Lulu at first sight, quickly changed to an adamant need to discard this sweet pup. Lulu’s owner had contacted Waldos Rescue, threatening that if they don’t take her back, she will put her down herself. And Waldo’s took swift action in an attempt to get Lulu back and in safe hands. I feel as though I failed her as a foster parent, promising her a loving home to a good family but instead have handed her into the wrong hands. I was completely blindsided by this woman’s change of heart and I have a newfound fear of what Lulu’s current owner might do to her and wanted to act fast. I had always wanted to adopt her myself and was close to, but seeing how quick she had gained interest at her first adoption event, I wanted to give someone else a chance to love such a sweet little girl. But due to how completely unexpected her surrender has come up, I can’t adopt her immediately as I was more prepared to pay the adoption fee back then as opposed to now. but I don’t want to wait much longer or until it’s too late.

It’s about $650 for her adoption fee, but I would also like to have her properly seen by a vet and possibly spayed as I have reason to believe Lulu’s current owner hadn’t.

All the proceeds will go towards her adoption and getting her spayed. Any cent or dollar counts! Help me save Lulu and rewrite her story.
