Help me save Jackson’s life

UPDATE 15:45:
The amazing internal medicine team at SAGE Redwood City was able to endoscopically remove 99% of the debris that occupied Jackson’s stomach. This means his life threatening emergency has been alleviated but we cannot know if he will or will not have complications from other debris moving through the small intestine.

I am CLOSING the fundraiser because we met the cap of the invoice that SAGE has prepared! I am BEYOND words. Incredibly thankful for my coworkers (techs, vets, CSCs and beyond!) at SAGE for stepping up and helping this amazing dog.

I will be chatting with gofundme staff to see how I can refund partial donations seeing as we met the goal! I believe there will be some left over and I will make sure you get the percentage back! Again, thank you thank you thank you all. Especially those who don’t know me or Jackson…

Forever grateful,
Gemma and Jackson (who will be returning to his rightful owners who just came upon some hard times and needed some help).

Hi all!

For those who do not know me, my name is Gemma and I work in small animal critical care. Tonight, our Emergency service received a sweet 3 year old neutered German shepherd dog whose owners opted to euthanize this boy because of a foreign body obstruction in his stomach/small intestine.

Once I walked over to see him, I just couldn’t stomach the thought of saying goodbye much too soon to a sweet and friendly shepherd. He reminds me so much of my own GSD, Lenny, who I rescued in college. A kind soul who was just happy to be around people.

My mission here is this: get his imaging and potential surgery costs covered. There is a large number as the goal due to the extent of what we are anticipating needing to be done in surgery.

As it always goes with veterinary technicians and staff, we open our hearts and wallets even when it is not the best for our well being. This is why we do what we do. I just want to give Jackson a long happy life with someone who will sneak him up on the bed at night, boop his snoot and admire the dog he has shown us to be so far.

Anything helps whether it is a donation of any amount or spamming your social media with this link.

Thank you all so much,

Gemma and Jackson
