Help Me Save Isaiah’s Life

Hi my name is Cynthia, and I am starting this fundraiser for my sweet friend Tabitha to help save her son Isaiah’s life. Below is her story:

“In 2005 I left an abusive marriage when I saw how it was affecting my then one-year-old son. While I got out, my son Isaiah still had to stay with him every other weekend. Over the years, Isaiah endured abuse at the hands of his father; unfortunately I only knew part of it. While I protected where I could and made sure he got excellent therapy, I was not able to stop all the abuse and there were things I did not know until his father died in 2020. By January 2021, my son was steeped in addiction and suicidal thoughts and tried several times to end his life. I was able to find him help, but it meant moving across the country and selling everything I owned, including cashing in my entire retirement. I sold our house, all the furniture, and anything with value. To date, every dime possible has been spent on treatment and we still need about another year of treatment for him to get healthy. Insurance will not cover any of it, so all the money I’ve spent has been out of pocket. I’m working as many hours as I can, and adding whatever I can to be able to pay for continued treatment and I’m coming up short. He’s doing great in treatment and it’s saved his life so far – I’d really like to be able to let him complete treatment and hopefully have a healthy son come home.”
