Help Me Save Hulk. Sometimes a Hulk needs saving too.

Hi, my name is Taylor, and I’m writing this with a heavy heart and a lot of urgency. My beloved bulldog Hulk—who belonged to my late husband—is in the hospital fighting for his life.

Hulk isn’t just a pet. He’s the last piece of my husband I still get to hug every day. After my husband passed away unexpectedly, Hulk became my emotional support, my reason to get up in the morning, my family. He’s been with me through grief, through healing, and through this new chapter of life here in Costa Rica.

On Sunday, Hulk suddenly became very sick. He was vomiting, lethargic, and swollen. I rushed him to the emergency vet in Jacó. At first, they thought he had a twisted stomach (bloat), but it turned out to be even more dangerous—three large kidney stones lodged in his ureters were blocking his bladder, and he was unable to pee. His bladder became so full it nearly ruptured and caused an intestinal blockage at the same time.

The vet said he would die without surgery. I’ve already paid $500 in emergency vet bills and hospitalization, but the surgery today will cost over $2,000—and I just don’t have it. My credit cards are maxed. I’ve stretched every resource I have. But I’m not ready to give up on him.
