My daughter Charlotte lives in Vietnam. There's no option to set up a go fund me appeal over there so she asked me to set this up here in the UK .It was so lucky Charlotte was there at the time to prevent a horrific ending for this beautiful young dog.This is Charlotte's story in her own words...

I never expected a normal day in Vietnam to turn into this.

I was driving my bike when I heard a dog crying. When I looked closer, I saw a bag being dragged along the road by two people on a motorbike… and inside it, something was moving. It was a dog, thrashing, suffocating, fighting to stay alive.

I followed them and demanded they stop. They tried to drive away, but I refused to let him go. They told me they wanted “900k” (about £35) to hand her over to me. I paid it immediately and took him.

When I cut the bag open in the 35-degree heat, he could barely breathe. At the vets, they found he was tightly bound in cables around his body and neck, severely dehydrated, terrified… and likely on his way to be sold for meat.

We named him Houdini, because somehow, he escaped. He survived.

Despite everything, he is the gentlest, sweetest boy—no more than 9 months old. He still trusts people. He still wants love.

But his journey isn’t over.

I want to bring Houdini to the UK, where he can finally be safe—running in parks, sleeping by a warm fire, and loved the way every dog deserves. Sadly, the entire cost of making this happen will be over £1500 + for medical care, vaccinations, flights and transport all the way to a new and loving home in the UK.

I can’t do this alone.
