Help me save Elijah

Elijah was recently diagnosed with dry FIP.  Shortly after his diagnosis he started to decline rapidly. He has not been eating or drinking the last several days so we are syringe feeding him and providing supportive care the best we can. If he doesn’t start eating on his own we will be placing a feeding tube on this coming Tuesday.  There is a treatment available for his FIP that has a 95% success rate... but it will end up costing between $7000-8000 and unfortunately we simply can’t afford it. It’s a terrible feeling knowing that I am most likely going to loose my boy at only 2 years old but I am hopeful that the more this drug is used and proven to work, the more approvals it will get and hopefully the price will come down so that more cats like Elijah can be saved in the future. FIP has been thought for a long time to be a death sentence but these treatments seem to shed some hope on the future. After talking with a sales rep and a doctor through the company that makes the treatment, they suggested that I try a go fund me page. I have to admit that I am doubtful that I will be able to raise enough money in time to save my boy... if this happens, any of the money I have raised will be donated to help save another kitty like Elijah. I will be starting another Facebook page to track Elijahs progression if I can start treatment.
