Help Me Save Carlie

Carlie is a 13 yr old Thoroughbred that, through no fault of her own, was sent to a kill pen in Oklahoma.

When I discovered her on Facebook, she was starved and covered in wounds. Miraculously, her jockey club papers were with her and I learned that she was sired by the famous stallion, Dynaformer.  Many of us know Dynaformer as the sire of the famous Barbaro, who captured the heart of the country with his courageous 7-month long battle after fracturing his leg in the 2006 Preakness Stakes.

I researched Carlie's life, from her birth in Kentucky in 2008 until now, and found out that though she didn't race a lot, she raised 5 foals 3 of which are still racing. In February of 2021, she started her horrific journey to the kill pen.  Why she ended up in a kill pen is beyond me but something horrible must have happened.

When I found her on Facebook, I needed to do something.  Though I already have a few needy horses and am financially stretched, I felt compelled to save Carlie.  I bought her and placed her in a life-saving Quarantine / Rehab in Oklahoma where she'll stay until she's strong enough to be shipped to my farm in New Jersey.

The cost involved with rescuing Carlie is extensive and it's my hope that you can help me cover her crucial rehab, veterinary bills, and shipping cost.
