Help Me Save Angel – My Sweet Boy Deserves a Chance

At the request of my friends who want to help me save Angel, I’ve created this fundraising page — something I never imagined I’d have to do.

Angel, my cat, is my entire world. I don’t have children — he’s my only child, my companion, my soul in fur. For years, he’s been by my side through everything: gentle, loyal, never once aggressive. Not even a hiss. Just quiet love.

Right now, that beautiful life is slipping away from me — and I’m terrified, heartbroken and I feel like I am failing him... It's so unfair!

His Life Depends on One Treatment

Angel has a severely overactive thyroid. We’ve tried traditional medications, but he had a terrible allergic reaction to it - constant vomiting, stomach upset.

His condition is at a stage where surgery is no longer possible as he would unlikely survive it and no vet wats to undertake such risk.

The only remaining treatment is a radioactive iodine pill - one dose that could cure him!!! But because it’s radioactive, he would need to stay in a special pet hospital for two weeks after the treatment. One... pill - in 99% of cases it completely cures the thyroid in just about few days!

The cost? About £4500 (~$6000 USD) — all required up front. And to make matters worse, insurance has refused to cover any of it.

Without this treatment, his thyroid will continue to wreak havoc on his body. He’s already lost 600 grams in weight since February because the disease changed his metabolism. His blood levels have more than doubled what’s considered dangerous (Thyroid level acceptable is up to 60 points in blood tests - his now is at 128).

His heart, kidneys, and liver are still holding on — but not for long. If he is not treated ASAP the thyroid will effectively destroy his vital organs and there will be no more chance to save him.

We’re Out of Time

I’ve spent the past year trying to earn extra money through online work, pouring myself into creative platforms, hustling in every way I could — but life hasn’t been kind, and I’ve run out of time.

The vet said plainly: either I pay for the treatment now, or I will have to let him go (they will not allow me to keep him and deteriorate any further as this will bring pain and agony to him).

They have gracefully allowed me 3 weeks (until August 6th) to gather the fuds before they will take Angel away from me and put him to sleep.

I can’t let that happen — not without trying everything.

That’s why I’m here, with this page, swallowing my pride and asking... no... begging for your help.
