ITALIAN VERSION (ENGLISH VERSION BELOW)

Altivo è uno stallone arabo di 9 anni che è stato abbandonato dalla sua proprietaria. L'attuale proprietario lo ha chiuso in un box da Aprile 2025 e non se ne vuole occupare.

Il cavallo ha sviluppato atteggiamenti aggressivi e va spesso in colica a causa dello stress. La persona che attualmente gli da il fieno è una ragazza che tiene il suo cavallo nello stesso posto. Lei mi manda anche qualche video e foto dicendomi come stanno veramente le cose.

Il problema è che martedì 20 gennaio questa ragazza porterà via il suo cavallo da quel posto e io non so se Altivo riceverà da mangiare tutti i giorni.

Perché ho deciso di aiutare Altivo?

Prima di tutto perché nessun cavallo si merita un trattamento del genere. Questa situazione mi è stata presentata da una signora che mi ha venduto il mio puledro arabo. Quando ho visto le foto di Altivo, ho rivisto gli occhietti del mio cavallo in lui e ho sentito un nodo alla gola che mi ha dato la carica per organizzare tutto questo.

Come ho detto, io possiedo già un cavallo che ho preso da poco e che tratto come un re quindi da proprietaria responsabile non voglio/posso prendermi in carico tutte le spese iniziali di cui avrà bisogno Altivo.

COSTI CHE COPRIRÀ QUESTA RACCOLTA:

Questa non è una normale missione di salvataggio: se questo cavallo finisce nelle mani sbagliati potrebbe essere identificato come "pazzo, aggressivo, impossibile da rieducare" e potrebbe soffrire una sorte ancora peggiore di quella in cui si trova ora oppure essere soppresso.

Se questa storia non dovesse andare a buon fine e io non dovessi riuscire a prendere Altivo, donerò il ricavato a qualche altra situazione bisognosa oppure a una associazione.

ENGLISH VERSION: Please help me give a better life to Altivo

Altivo is a 9yo Arabian stallion located in Italy who has been kept inside a box for 9 months, since April 2025. Why? From what I heard, his owner abandoned him in 2021, which left him being managed by unexperienced hands and this led to the development of aggressive behaviour. The person who owns him now is scared to open the box to let Altivo out in the pasture. The animal is experiencing an immense amount of stress and if he doesn't receive help immediately the situation will only get worse.

When I saw the pictures of Altivo, I saw the eyes of my own Arabian horse in him and I felt like I couldn't turn my back to this situation. As I already own a horse and I need to make sure to 100% be able to provide for him, I need to ask your help in rescuing this one. Altivo will need a lot of veterinary attention and a handful of training to put his mind at ease.

This is not a normal "rehoming" rescue, if this horse gets in the wrong hands, he will be labelled as "difficult, crazy, impossible to retrain" and likely will be put down. At my horse facility, they focus on the rehabilitation and re education of problematic horses, so we will be able to deal with him and calm his nervous system.

This is a delicate situation, I am personally in contact with the current owner and he agreed on everything so far, however these things can always turn different with a last minute change of mind from the other party.

In the unfortunate and sad case of the owner deciding to not give me the horse, I will donate everything to a horse rescue organisation. In the happy event that I succeed into getting Altivo under my hands, I will provide on my social media the proof of every expense to take care of him.
