Help me save Bentley the AT dog.

Donation protected
This sweet fellow was found on the Appalachian Trail Saturday morning. He quickly took up with James and Veronica as they started their section hike. They reached out on the AT Facebook page looking for his owners. It appeared Bentley had been attacked by coyotes and luckily was able to get away. When they didn’t have any success finding owners or local transport I agreed to meet them in Franklin NC at the Georgia/NC trail head and take him to the vet for a large laceration. This little guy hiked 15+ hard miles with them while have a large painful laceration and puncture wound. I found him a temporary (possibly furever home) foster family but paid $1000 out of my pocket for anesthesia, antibiotics, laceration repair, neutering, all vaccines/shots, flea treatment and heart worm testing. He has two follow appointments and sadly is heart worm positive and will need treatment in January. The request for $1200 is to cover this vet bill, the next two and a few essentials he will need at his new foster home. I will figure out how to cover heart worm treatment in January. Thank you for any help you can give!!
