Hi! My name is Sydney Seid. I am in 9th grade and I live in Dix Hills, New York. I have been selected as a state finalist for the 2020 Miss New York Teen competition! I need your help in order to represent Long Island in the 2020 upcoming event. In order to participate, I must raise money from sponsors and I hope you will help!
Right now I am a freshmen in high school and I do many things for the school. This year I am the secretary of the student council and I was just selected to be the Sophomore Executive Vice President! I have very high grades and I participate in many clubs. I also play tennis in and out of school. This past year I was all-county. I also play many tournaments throughout the year. I believe that all of this makes me very prepared to take on the responsibilities that come with the title of Miss New York Teen.
If I win and become Miss New York Teen for 2020-2021, I have many goals that I would like to accomplish. I love helping the environment and I think that what is going on now in the world with climate change is horrible. Our planet is being destroyed and we are the only ones who can fix it! If I win, I would love to do many things to bring awareness to others about what is happening on Earth and ways that we can prevent and help it. I have been learning that there are so many ways that we can help just by changing little things in our daily lives. I hope that with the Title of Miss New York Teen I will be able to do many things. For example, I would spearhead a program to put many recycling bins in even more places to emphasize how important recycling is. Another thing I would like to do is create classes or assemblies in schools. These assemblies will educate kids and teens specifically on the causes and effects of climate change. This would be able to teach them ways that they can make a difference themselves! These are just two of the many things that I would absolutely love to do with the title.
