Bonjour! Je suis Marilyse Dubois, je fais partie de l'équipe d'aviron de l'Université Western à London en Ontario. Récemment, j'ai été sélectionnée pour représenter le Canada pour une seconde fois aux Championnats du Monde Universitaire (FISU) dans le huit de pointe féminin. Les championnats se dérouleront du 10 au 12 août 2018 à Shanghai, Chine.
Cet été, nous allons nous entraîner 2-3 fois par jour, 6 jours par semaine pour garantir le plus de succès possible à Shanghai! Puisque notre coach est localisé à Victoria en Colombie-Britanique, je vais devoir aller m'entrainer à Victoria avec mon équipage durant le mois de juillet. Malheureusement, j'ai dû quitter mon emploi d'été pour rendre cela possible et votre support est donc plus qu'important :)
Rowing Canada Aviron est une organisation à but non lucratif et n'a pas les fonds pour financer les frais de participation à cette compétition. Les coûts par athlète s'élèvent à 4000$. Ces frais incluent le transport par avion, l'équipement, l'hébergement, la nourriture et le coaching.
Le départ pour la Chine est prévu pour le 6 août 2018, la campagne de financement prendra donc fin à cette date.
Votre aide, si petite soit-elle sera grandement appréciée puisque cette compétition représente une opportunité de réaliser un grand accomplissement dans ma carrière d'aviron qui est de représenter le Canada à nouveau pour une compétition internationale.

Hi! I am Marilyse Dubois and I have been rowing for 6 years to get where I am today. Recently, I was selected to represent Canada for a second time at the World University Championships (FISU) in Shanghai, China. I am lucky enough to row the women's eight August 10th-12th 2018.
This summer, we will be training 2-3 times a day, 6 days a week to guarantee I will be confident in myself sitting on the start line. Since our coach is located in Victoria, BC, I will be training in Victoria in the month of July leading up to the competition. To make this possible, I had to quit my summer job and makes your support so important :)
The costs to compete in China are not funded by Rowing Canada. Therefore, I will be required to pay $4,000 to cover travel, food, and accomodations.
The date of departure is August 6th, 2018 and this campaign will also end at this time.
Representing Canada at an international level has always been a dream of mine and I now have the opportunity to achieve that dream for a second time. Your help, large or small, is greatly appreciated.
