Howdy Folks,

This past year has been one of the most difficult I've ever encountered.

Last May, I experienced a traumatic sexual assault from an abusive partner, which left me grappling with both physical, financial and emotional wounds. Recently, I underwent the first step of corrective surgery to repair a complex perianal fistula, a painful reminder of the injuries inflicted during the assault.

The road to recovery post-op is long and excruciating.

Just months prior, I was shocked to learn that I was postive for HIV. As you can imagine, navigating the complexities of living with HIV has taken a toll on my health and impacted my ability to work. Sadly, I was let go from my job of 5 years, without severance or insurance, due to what my former employer labeled as "poor performance," despite my best efforts to cope with my health struggles under an increasing workload.

The financial fallout from these challenges has been overwhelming. I'm saddled with excessive medical bills and credit card debt accumulated over the past year while supporting myself through these hardships. Now, as I strive to move forward and pursue my dreams, I find myself at a crossroads, desperately in need of a helping hand.

I'm reaching out to you all with a heavy heart, but also with hope there as well. Your support would mean the world to me as I navigate this trying chapter of my life and give me peace of mind while I heal. The funds raised will go directly towards paying off significant medical debts, covering closing rental costs, and assisting with relocating from my current living situation to be closer to chosen family.

I understand that this is a significant ask, especially during these uncertain times.
