I haven’t seen my daughter in almost seven years, and not a day goes by that I don’t think about her. My greatest hope is to be part of her life again and show her the father I am working hard to become. My past has not been easy. I struggled with addiction, and it ultimately led to my incarceration. Since my release, I have been committed to rebuilding my life with purpose and stability. I now work full time as a delivery driver, and I am attending college to earn my bachelor’s degree in addiction and recovery counseling. My goal is to use my experiences to help others who are fighting the same battles I once faced.

When I first got out, I went to court alone to request visitation with my daughter. Without legal representation, I was denied. I truly believe that with proper legal support, I would have a real chance at establishing contact and beginning to rebuild that relationship. Unfortunately, the financial obstacles in my life make this incredibly difficult. I recently wrecked my car, and because I only had liability insurance, I cannot afford the repairs. This has made travel and daily responsibilities even harder. On top of that, the cost of hiring an attorney is far beyond what I can manage on my own.

I am doing everything I can to move forward, stay stable, and build a future I can be proud of — not just for myself, but for my daughter.
