Hello, my name is Valeria. On Friday, July 24, my stepfather was detained by ICE in his workplace parking lot.

My stepfather is a hardworking, responsible, honest, and full of joy man, always willing to help without asking for anything in return. Like many of us, he came to this country legally, hoping to build a better future.

Recently, my mom lost her job, and with my stepfather’s detention, I am now the sole financial provider for our family as we face this difficult situation.

Unfortunately, legal expenses are very high, and we are doing everything we can to bring him home as soon as possible.

The funds raised will be used to cover all legal costs, bail, and to ensure he has what he needs during this time.

Any contribution, no matter how small, brings us one step closer to the hope of being together again as a family. If you are unable to donate at this time, sharing our story also means a lot to us and helps us reach more people.

Como muchos de nosotros, él llegó a este país de manera legal, con la esperanza de construir un mejor futuro. Hace poco, mi mamá perdió su empleo y, con la detención de mi padrastro, hoy me encuentro siendo la única persona que sostiene económicamente a nuestra familia mientras enfrentamos esta difícil situación.

Lastimosamente los gastos legales son muy altos y estamos haciendo todo lo posible para traerlo a casa lo más pronto posible.

Los fondos recaudados se utilizarán para cubrir todos los gastos legales, la fianza y garantizar que cuente con lo necesario durante este momento.
