Help Me Return to Sunshine: A Miami Homecoming Journey

My name is Alex Diaz-Granados and I’m reaching out to you from the scenic, yet solitary, landscapes of New Hampshire. Eight months ago, I embarked on a journey from the sunny West Coast of Florida to the tranquil trails of New England. This move was born out of necessity, a leap of faith into a new life that promised new beginnings.

However, life often has its own plans. Despite the unwavering support of friends and the community, my New England chapter has been a tale of struggle against isolation and homesickness. The rural life, as beautiful as it is, turned out to be a mismatch for my soul that yearns for the familiar warmth of Miami—the city that pulses with life and resonates with my spirit.

Today, I stand before you, humbly asking for your assistance to help me return to my roots. The goal is to raise between $5,000 to $6,000—a fund that will cover the costs of an interstate move back to Miami. This includes moving expenses, settling debts incurred during my stay, and securing at least the first month’s rent in Miami, which, as fate would have it, is slightly higher than what I currently pay.
