Hi everyone,

My name is Keirra Satchell and I’m a proud pre-nursing student at Hampton University, working toward my goal of becoming a forensic nurse. I’m reaching out because I recently learned that I won’t be receiving financial aid for the upcoming school year, and I need your help to continue my education this fall.

I chose Hampton University, a historically Black University because I wanted the chance to grow and learn among peers who look like me, who share my culture, and who understand the power of community. After spending most of my educational life in predominantly white institutions, I knew it was time to immerse myself in an environment that uplifts Black excellence—and Hampton has been that place for me.

As a hardworking, determined, and dedicated student. My goal is to become a forensic nurse so I can help victims, bring justice to marginalized communities, and make a real difference in people’s lives. I believe that what I’m learning at Hampton—academically, culturally, and socially—will provide me to serve my community with compassion, intelligence, and strength.

Right now, I’m facing a serious financial challenge that could prevent me from returning to campus August 25th. I’m doing everything I can—applying for scholarships and working, but I can’t do it alone. That’s why I’m asking for your support.
