My power was shut off last week and I’m trying to get help, but nothing so far. I need help to raise money for them to turn it on. I’ve never asked for help before, and I’m on SSDI, so this is over 60% of my check. It’s a tough spot to be in, and I’m reaching out because I don’t know what else to do.

Not having power has made daily life really hard. My diabetes meds need to be refrigerated, I have no hot water to shower, and I am nervous about being here alone with no lights. Having my power restored would mean I can take care of my health, feel safe in my home, and get back to some normalcy.

I am 110% embarrassed and humiliated, but I am in over my head here. If I have helped you in any way over the years, please—even if it’s a small amount—I would appreciate it more than anything.
