I was born legally blind in my right eye, and up until about three years ago, my left eye was my lifeline to the world. Recently, I started having issues with my good eye and learned that I have bilateral cataracts. Without surgery, I risk losing vision in my only seeing eye. Unfortunately, due to my high deductible, the surgery isn't covered by insurance, and the specific lens my doctor recommends is thousands of dollars more than I have.
Right now, everything past my arm's length is blurred and I see triple. It's become incredibly difficult to recognize my family and friends beyond just a few feet in front of me. The thought of losing my remaining vision is overwhelming, but I am holding onto hope that with your help, I can regain my eyesight and see the world as I once knew it.
I know this is a long shot, but it's worth a try. Your support would mean everything to me—helping me afford the surgery and the lens that could restore my sight. I appreciate you taking the time to read my story, and thank you in advance for any help you can give.
