Hello, my name is Christina. Chris if you're my therapist, or Luck if you know me elsewhere. I am a wild 26 year old Non-Binary existence that is just trying to survive in this world.

(My profile picture is of an annoyed kitten).
Thank you for taking your time to read my story- It's a bit long so I hope you will read it to the end.
All of the information provided below is important to fully understand why I am reaching out for help.
The beginning of it all:
Two years ago I noticed a problem rising within my mind that I decided to ignore and let continue. 6 months ago this problem began to affect my job and after weeks upon weeks with the help of my therapist and my family, I was able to find a doctor who was able to diagnose me with severe ADHD.
While we were speaking however, she asked me if I had any head trauma in the past. To which I replied that yes, I had on many occasions.
Fighting classes, a car accident with no air bag going off, a BMX bike racing crash where I hit the ground face first, a log being thrown out if my tree house and striking me in the center of my skull, etc etc. The list could go on.
I was scheduled to have an EEG to scan my brain waves. After goo and electrodes being placed on my head and various other tests- we found out several things.
To put it simply, the right side of my brain is underdeveloped so the left side of my brain has to overwork itself to compensate for the right sides lack of functionality.
The true extent of the damage:
The hard truth?
I have severe brain damage to the point most of my brain is considered abnormal. The left side (the logical side of the brain) has been overworking for years to the point it is starting to malfunction. Logic thoughts become illogical and now the neurons are beginning to misfire.
The right frontal and rear lobes of my brain are damaged to the point that they are considered barely functioning.
What happens when they are damaged:
The frontal lobe is responsible for higher cognitive functions such as memory, emotions, impulse control, problem solving, social interaction, and motor function. Damage to the neurons or tissue of the frontal lobe can lead to personality changes, difficulty concentrating or planning, and impulsivity.
An injury to the occipital lobe (the back of the brain) can lead to visual field cuts, difficulty seeing objects or colors, hallucinations, blindness, inability to recognize written words, reading or writing, inability to see objects moving, and poor processing of visual information.
I unfortunately, but confidently say that I have experienced varying levels of everything listed above. And my auditory hallucinations and focus only grow worse every single day to the point my co workers have begun to notice.
The solution:
I am incredibly lucky to have found Dr. Kingston, a Neurologist that truly puts action behind his words. He practices his craft at American Wellness and Rehab Center.
Three times a week for the next 6 months I will be attending what is called the Bright Minds Advanced Neurology Program.
This program will put me through a series of tests, treatments, and therapies that will help me rebuild my brain from the bottom up. It will help redevelop the parts that are almost no longer functioning.
It will help my depression, insomnia, ADHD, seizures, hallucinations, tinnitus, anxiety, and the beginnings of schizophrenia.
I will finally be able to think and function at the level I am supposed to be at, when all this time I honestly thought I was just... stupid.
How you can help:
This program will cost me $10,600.00 on the dot. This is including insurance.
This is not including any additional labs, scans, or blood tests that will be needed as I will work as much overtime as I can to cover the extra expenses while covering other bills and rent. I work in a laboratory as a specimen processor who handles COVID19 every day at this point.
My parents are selling valuables to try and help me pay for it, and everything I have saved up for top surgery is going towards this.
Anything you can offer will help and would mean everything to me.
If you would like to know more, feel free to contact me. I am more than willing to share my story and what's going on.
Please leave my parents alone. They are already dealing with enough as it is with trying to support me. I will answer any questions you have.
If you made it this far, thank you so much for reading all of this. It means the world to me that you took time out of your day to glance through this.
I truly hope I will be able to see you all on the brighter side of tomorrow.

Enjoy this picture of me walking out of the Rehabilitation Center with a plastic bag on my head because of the goo in my hair.
