Hi, my name is Adira and I’m reaching out for your help to fund the adoption and training of a service dog to support me in managing several health conditions, including POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome), anxiety, depression and other health issues. 

Having a service dog would be life-changing. For me, Medications don't work, don’t exist and or make me sick which lead to me having to search for alternative care options. Service dogs can help with mobility (as mobility aids aren’t right for me), alert me to a POTS or Anxiety episode, and provide many tasks to assist me in day to day life. The dog’s training will allow me to have a constant companion to help me navigate daily challenges, giving me the independence I crave. I don’t want to rely on friends and family to take care of me all the time… I hate feeling like a burden and this would set me free.

The funds will go directly towards the adoption fee, veterinary care, and a professional trainer to ensure my dog is equipped to assist me in the best way possible. I am rescuing a dog from an animal shelter so that I can save them the way they save me. The sooner I can raise enough, the sooner I can bring my future service dog home, and because of the wages where I live I truly can’t do it without your support. (if I did, it would take over a year to save enough just to start searching.. I can't wait that long.)

I hate asking for help and I hate asking for money so this is really hard for me - Anything helps and no donation is too small. And because I don’t really appreciate handouts I am allocating rewards to certain milestones. Your generosity will make an immense difference in my quality of life.
