Hi, my name is Bailey — and I need your help to take part in a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

I have been selected to represent the UK at the World Scout Jamboree in Gdańsk, Poland, in August 2027 — an incredible honour, but also a big challenge to make it happen.

The 26th World Scout Jamboree, held roughly every four years, brings together around 50,000 Scouts from nearly every country in the world. For three unforgettable weeks, we will live side by side on Poland’s northern coast, sharing our cultures, stories, and experiences, and building friendships that cross borders and last a lifetime.

This isn’t just a trip — it’s a life-changing experience. The Jamboree is the largest educational youth event in the world, focused on global development, peace, and understanding. It gives young people like me the chance to grow in confidence, develop leadership and teamwork skills, and learn how we can make a positive difference in our communities and beyond.

What makes this event even more special is its commitment to inclusivity. Part of the UK fees goes towards helping Scouts from developing countries attend, ensuring that this truly is a global gathering where everyone has a voice.

To be part of this amazing experience, I need to raise £3,240. In total.

This covers the cost of the event, travel to and from Poland, accommodation, kit, and support throughout the journey.

I’ve been working hard to raise money by taking on odd jobs in my community — from gardening and mowing lawns to washing cars and painting fences. I’ve also teamed up with four other local Scouts and Explorers attending the Jamboree, and together we’ve been volunteering at events and planning more fundraising activities.

Even with all of this, reaching the full amount is a big challenge — and that’s why I’m asking for your help.

I am so excited about what this opportunity means for me. It’s a chance to step out of my comfort zone, meet people from all over the world, from completely different backgrounds and experience cultures I may never otherwise encounter, seeing the world in a new way. I’m especially looking forward to learning from others, sharing my own experiences, growing in confidence, independence, and leadership, and bringing skills home to make a difference in my community.

This is more than just a journey to Poland — it’s a journey that will help shape my future and the person I become.
