My name is Anthony Dawson, and I am incredibly honoured to have been selected to represent the UK at the World Transplant Games in Dresden, Germany. This is a dream come true, and it holds special significance for me as I am here today thanks to a life-saving double lung transplant.

The World Transplant Games celebrates the second chance at life given to transplant recipients, while also raising awareness about organ donation. Competing in these games is not just about sports; it’s about honoring my donor, promoting organ donation, and showing the world what is possible after a transplant.
