Hi everyone,

My name is Yaw Parbey and this year, I’ve been selected to represent Team GB at the World Powerlifting Championships in Costa Rica — and I’m beyond proud to say that out loud. It’s been my biggest dream since I first stepped onto the platform, and now, it’s finally within reach.

I’ve been powerlifting for around 3 years now, and it’s become such a huge part of my life. I love the sport, the people, the discipline, and the drive it’s given me. This opportunity means the world to me, but getting there comes with big financial costs, from travel and accommodation to competition fees.
