Help Me Represent Team Canada at the World Ball Hockey Masters (35+) Championships in Slovakia!

Hi everyone,

My name is Jade Getz, and I’m beyond proud and humbled to share that I’ve been selected to represent Team Canada as a goalie at the Women's Masters (35+) Ball Hockey World Championships, taking place this November 13–16 in Slovakia!

This is more than just a tournament—this is a dream years in the making. I’ve spent countless hours training, playing, and dedicating myself to this sport, always with the hope that one day I’d wear the maple leaf and represent my country on the world stage.

But here’s the reality: representing your country comes at a cost. While it’s an honour to play for Canada, players are responsible for covering all travel, accommodation, gear, and tournament expenses out-of-pocket so I am hoping to offset some of the costs. The total cost to participate is approximately $5,000 CAD.

This tournament only happens once every two years. For athletes in the Masters division (age 35+), opportunities like this are fleeting. Women’s ball hockey is growing, but it still lacks the funding and visibility it deserves. Supporting me is not just about one athlete—it’s about helping women’s sports thrive and showing that it's never too late to chase your dreams.

Every contribution, big or small, will help cover tournament expenses and get one step closer to that arena in Slovakia—and to standing proudly with my teammates, singing “O Canada” with a championship.
