Hi, my name is Georghette, and I am a proud pickleball athlete from Los Barriles, Baja California Sur, Mexico.

Los Barriles is a small fishing town on the Sea of Cortez. It's a place where neighbors know each other by name, where people celebrate one another's successes, and where dreams often begin with the encouragement of an entire community.

Growing up here, I learned that hard work, kindness, and perseverance can take you farther than you ever imagined.

Today, I have the incredible honor of representing Mexico in international pickleball competitions, beginning with Vietnam and, China.

Being selected to wear my country's colors is one of the proudest moments of my life. I don't just represent myself—I represent my family, my hometown, and every young athlete who dreams of proving that incredible things can come from a small place.

Like many amateur athletes, qualifying for international competition does not mean the journey is funded. My family and I are responsible for covering the travel expenses that make this opportunity possible.

Vietnam Goal

As I will be traveling with my parents, who support me throughout this journey, our estimated expenses are:

✈️ Round-trip airfare for our family of three: $14,000 USD

Lodging: $500 USD

Total Goal: $14,500 USD

The costs for my tournament in China are still being finalized and will be shared as soon as they are confirmed.

For my family, this is a significant investment, but it is one we are making because we believe opportunities like this can change a life.
