# Help Me Represent Mexico Through Dance
Hi, my name is Jessica, and I am a Mexican dancer currently living in the United States.
Dance has been my passion for as long as I can remember. It has shaped who I am, taught me discipline, resilience, and given me a purpose through every stage of my life.
A few years ago, I came to the United States as an au pair, looking for new opportunities and a better future. Since then, my life has changed in many ways. I got married and am currently going through the immigration process while waiting for my work permit.
While I wait for authorization to work, I have been doing everything I can to continue moving forward. I make and sell protein cookies to generate a small income of my own, and my husband has been supporting me as much as possible. He has always encouraged me to keep pursuing my goals and has been my biggest supporter throughout this journey.
Even with our efforts, the financial challenges of this season have made it difficult to continue investing in my dance career.
Today, I have the opportunity to continue training and work toward representing Mexico in one of the most important dance competitions in the world. This opportunity means everything to me, but it also comes with expenses such as training, competition fees, travel, costumes, and preparation.
Creating this fundraiser was not an easy decision. I have always believed in working hard for my goals, and I will continue doing so. However, I also recognize that sometimes achieving a dream requires the support of a community that believes in you.
Any contribution, no matter the amount, will help me continue my training and take another step toward representing my country on an international stage.
All proceeds will go toward representing Mexico in the Dance World Cup Finals in LA in 2026.
The funds are needed to cover my accommodation, meals, and transportation.
If you are unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser with others would mean just as much.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story, for believing in my journey, and for helping me keep this dream alive.
With gratitude,
Jessica
