Hello, my name is Carlos Toledo, and I am an 18-year-old Mexican fencer who has dedicated much of my life to the sport of fencing.
For years, I have trained with discipline, perseverance, and passion, spending countless hours in training while balancing school and the sacrifices that come with pursuing high-level sport. My goal has always been clear: to represent Mexico in the most important international competitions and continue growing as an athlete.
This year, that dream is becoming a reality.
I have the incredible opportunity to compete in the World Fencing Championships in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Competing at this level is a tremendous honor and a major milestone in my athletic career. It will allow me to face some of the best fencers in the world while proudly representing Mexico.
However, international competitions also come with significant expenses. Costs such as airfare, accommodation, competition registration, meals, transportation, training, and equipment can add up quickly. Unfortunately, many athletes must cover most of these expenses themselves in order to compete.
That is why I am asking for your support.
Every contribution will go directly toward making this opportunity possible.
Beyond my personal dream, this opportunity represents something bigger. As a young athlete from my community, I hope to inspire younger fencers and other athletes to pursue their goals and believe that they can also reach the international stage. Every athlete who gets the chance to compete internationally helps open doors and motivate the next generation.
Your support will not only help me compete — it will also show young athletes in my community that hard work, dedication, and community support can make dreams possible.
Every donation, no matter the amount, truly makes a difference and brings me one step closer to representing Mexico at the World Championships.
If you are unable to donate, sharing this campaign would mean the world to me and help spread the word.
Thank you for believing in athletes who work hard every day to represent their country and inspire others.
With gratitude,
Carlos Toledo
