Hi, my name is Tesha I’m 18 years old, and I’ve been selected as a finalist for Miss Africa GB 2025, proudly representing South Africa and Kent

This journey is more than just a pageant for me—it’s a personal mission rooted in identity, resilience, and purpose.

I come from a beautifully diverse background: my mother is South African and I was raised in a Nigerian household, where I was exposed to the vibrant Igbo culture through my stepdad. This unique mix has shaped me into the young woman I am today—confident in my African roots, proud of my journey, and passionate about representing unity through diversity.

But my story doesn’t stop there.

I live with eczema, a visible and often misunderstood skin condition. For years, it made me feel insecure, excluded, and like I didn’t belong in spaces where beauty is celebrated. But now, I’m stepping into this pageant to challenge those norms and to show that having a skin condition is not a limitation—it’s a part of your story, and your story is powerful.

By competing, I hope to inspire young girls and boys living with eczema and other skin conditions to embrace themselves fully, to know that there is so much more to life than appearances, and that their dreams are always valid—no matter what their skin looks like.

Having gathered the courage to pick myself up and compete on a national platform means everything to me. And being only 18 makes it even more exciting—I’m just getting started!
