Karate is a minority sport, and unlike other disciplines, it receives no funding from local or government bodies. That means athletes like me must cover all costs to compete at the highest levels. I’ve been selected to represent Ireland at the Shotokan Karate-do International European Federation (SKIEF) European Championships 2025 in Heraklion, Crete - an incredible honour and a huge milestone in my journey. But I need your help to make it happen.
My Karate Journey
I started training at just four years old, but my path had its ups and downs. Everything changed in 2021 when I joined Yama Sui Shin Kai Karate Club in Waterford. In 2024, I earned my black belt - an achievement many see as the ultimate goal. For me, it was just the beginning.
After achieving a black belt, I was selected for the Irish Karate Squad. Through hard work and dedication, I earned the chance to compete on an international stage, proudly representing Ireland at the SKIEF European Championships.
Why I Need Your Support
This opportunity comes with major costs, including:
- Flights
- Accommodation
- Competition Fees
- Preparation Costs
To perform at my best, I need to focus on training, not financial stress. Your support will help me get to Crete and give it my all for Ireland.
How You Can Help
Any contribution, big or small, brings me closer to my goal. If you can’t donate, sharing this campaign also makes a huge difference.
Thank you for being part of my journey. Let’s make this dream a reality together!
