Hi everyone , My name is Dylan Smallcombe, I'm 17 years old and I'm an international tumbling gymnast from Monmouthshire , Wales. This year I have been selected to represent Great Britain in the junior world championships in the u21 category In Nanjing China.
Because tumbling is a non-Olympic discipline of gymnastics most international competitions are self funded by the athletes and their families. This competition is expected to cost around £3000 which covers competition costs , flights , accommodation travel and any other expenses. Any donations will help me become one part closer to reaching my goals and will be hugely appreciated.
Last year I was the reserve for the junior world championships and after a year of hard work I've managed to qualify 1st place to represent Great Britain. The world championships will be my GBR debut.
I have been tumbling for around 10 years and I currently travel from Wales to Revolution gymnastics club in Birmingham 3 times a week for training. This allows me to train in some of the best facilities available and gives me access to the coaching and opportunities to help me develop.
Over the years , I have represented Wales internationally four times, coming home with international medals on three occasions. I am currently the Senior Welsh champion and a part of the GBR senior development squad and have high hopes to compete to my best potential in China.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for supporting me on my journey to junior world Championships. Every donation and share will help me get one step closer and will be hugely appreciated.
