I am incredibly proud and honoured to have been selected to represent the England Community Lions at the 2026 Physical Disability Rugby League (PDRL) World Cup in Australia this October.

I was born 11 weeks premature and have congenital Cerebral Palsy. As a result, I was told I may never walk and have undergone multiple surgeries and a verity of treatment throughout my life. Despite these challenges, sport has always played a huge role in my life, and rugby has provided opportunities and experiences I could only have dreamed of.

My rugby journey began with Goole RUFC, where I progressed through the junior ranks into senior rugby. Following the COVID-19 pandemic, I discovered Physical Disability Rugby League and joined Wakefield Trinity PDRL. Since then, the sport has taken me on an incredible journey, giving me lifelong friendships, unforgettable memories, and opportunities I never thought possible.

One of the proudest moments of my life came in 2022 when I had the privilege of representing England and helping the team win the inaugural PDRL World Cup. Four years later, I have been given the opportunity to wear the England shirt once again as we travel to Australia to defend our World Cup title against the best teams in the world.

As with many community disability sports programmes, representing your country comes with significant personal costs. The England Community Lions are largely self-funded, meaning players are required to raise a substantial proportion of the funds needed to participate in international competition.

I am therefore seeking support to help reach my fundraising target of £1,500, which will contribute towards travel, accommodation, training, and tournament expenses. Every donation, no matter how large or small, will make a genuine difference and help me fulfil a lifelong ambition. Any funds raised above my individual target will be shared across the England squad to support teammates on their own World Cup journey.

Representing England is a privilege that I never take for granted. To have the opportunity to compete on the world stage once again and help defend our World Cup title in Australia would be a dream come true.
