Hi, my name is Owen Paquette and this year I had the honour of winning my 4th National Title in Calgary — and with it, I've officially begun my journey with Team Canada toward the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
Being selected to represent my country is something I never take for granted. Every time I step into that ring, I carry the pride of Canada with me. Now, I've earned another incredible opportunity: competing at the Eindhoven Box Cup in the Netherlands (May 21–26, 2026) — facing the world's best and wearing the Canadian colours with pride
Here's the part most people don't see.
This journey is entirely self-funded. I'm also a full-time student entering my 4th year at Brock University, working toward a Bachelor of Physical Education (Honours) and a Bachelor of Education. On top of training at an elite level, I'm juggling multiple part-time jobs just to keep everything afloat.
I'm doing everything I can to make this dream a reality, but the financial weight of competing internationally is real, and it adds up fast.
Your support will go directly toward:
- Flights and travel to the Netherlands
- Accommodation and meals during the competition
- Training and preparation leading up to the event
- Competition fees and equipment
More than the dollars, your contribution gives me something just as valuable, peace of mind. When I'm not stressed about finances, I can do what I came to do: compete at my absolute best and make Canada proud.
Every donation matters. Every share reaches someone who might believe in this dream.
Every bit of support means the world to me — whether that’s a donation or simply sharing this page. I’m also currently looking for potential sponsors to help support me on this journey, so if you or someone you know might be interested, I would truly appreciate you passing along my story. I’m incredibly grateful for each and every one of you who takes a moment to be part of this journey. Thank you!
Let's bring that gold home.
