Help me replant the Kaibab National Forest-North Rim Area

The Kaibab National Forest, and specifically the North Rim of the Grand Canyon have been in national news reporting the results of a recent WILDFIRE.

My name is Jennifer. I live in Fredonia, AZ, the closest town to the North Rim. I have lived in many places, I was a wilderness ranger in several large conservation areas... And, I have found no place that has spoken to me so deeply as the Kaibab National Forest. I keep returning to this place. Many who have visited this vast and incomparable landscape feel the same...

Five years ago, in 2020, there was a large WILDFIRE on the Kaibab... burning for nearly a month, the fire consumed about 80,000acres. I have watched the progression of the aftermath. I have witnessed the stages of regrowth. Mullein and Grasses among the first to return in the heavily burned areas...

Later, SO MANY WILDFLOWERS... Then elderberries, aspens and lil tangled oaks... Some cliff rose here and there, Pinon Pines bearing pine nuts, and eventually the baby Ponderosas make their play to regain the canopy... and in the oldest parts of the forest, SPRUCE!

The Kaibab was JUST beginning to heal from the Mangum Fire in 2020... Now it has been devastated all over again... more than 80,000acres have been decimated... and the fire still burns.

PLEASE - Help this rogue, retired ranger, replant the Mountain that is laying down...

***Any funds donated to this effort will be used to amass large quantities of Seed and later sapling trees... only plants native to the Kaibab National Forest North of the Grand Canyon***
