My iPhone was recently stolen, and even though I have Theft Insurance, I still have to pay a deductible to get a replacement. On my current income, that amount is more than I can manage, and it's left me in a really tough spot. Having a phone is so important in the modern world—not just for staying in touch with friends and family, but for handling basic activities and emergencies. Without it, I feel cut off and unable to manage many of the things I need to do each day.
