This past Thursday after shooting a show for a local music publication I was punched in the face and came to without my gear. My photography business is a huge portion of my income so this was quite a setback. I have worked for 3.5 years building my business and brand. I have always donated my time and experience to raise money for nonprofits, and always set my prices relatively low to accommodate all budgets. I lost my two favorite lenses and my only camera, in total their value is $3,600. I struggled with choosing the amount I requested, as I don’t really want to ask for donations.
