I’ve always believed in helping others, so when a local teenager wanted to earn some extra money mowing lawns, I was happy to lend him my mower. For the past two years, he’s used it to build his own little business, and this is our third season. Unfortunately, he’s stopped replying to my messages and hasn’t brought my mower back. Now, I’m left without a way to care for my own yard.

I have an acre of land, and with an injured arm, pushing a mower is nearly impossible. I’ve found some affordable ride-on mowers on Facebook Marketplace, but the timing couldn’t be worse. I don’t want to skip my car payment just to keep the grass down, especially since I spend so much time outside with my two-year-old grandson and our two small dogs. My yard is my peaceful place, and keeping it safe and tidy means everything to me and my family.
