I recently moved to a new town for my military service and bought a house, sight unseen, trusting the inspection and the word of the sellers and agents that everything was in good shape. Unfortunately, just four days after moving in, I discovered that the AC unit was completely broken. The unit is so old that it can't be repaired, and I need to purchase a new one to make my home livable.

This has been a tough situation for me. I spent all my savings on the move and on buying essential appliances like a fridge, washer, and dryer, since the house didn't come with any. I was raised to handle my own problems and never ask for help, but the cost of a new AC unit is more than I can manage right now.

Every dollar raised will go directly toward purchasing and installing a new AC unit, or to pay off my credit card if I have to put the expense there. I am truly grateful to anyone who takes the time to read my story. I'm embarrassed to ask for help and but I don't know where else to turn.
