I never imagined I’d be in a position where I needed to ask for help. For years, I’ve donated to others’ campaigns and supported people in need, but now I find myself on the other side. Over a year ago, I made the difficult decision to leave a job that was taking a toll on my physical and mental health. I thought I had a new opportunity lined up, but it fell through unexpectedly due to a company merger. Since then, I’ve been working freelance whenever possible, but the rise of AI has made it even harder to find steady work in my field. My savings have run out, and despite my best efforts, I’m still searching for a full-time position.
Recently, my world was turned upside down when my sweet little Papillon, Tiki, was attacked by a loose dog. She needed emergency veterinary care, but despite everything the vets did, she did not survive. Because I lost my income, I could no longer afford pet insurance. I had to borrow money from my 87-year-old mother to cover the vet bills, but she is also struggling financially. I’m only asking for enough to pay her back so she isn’t burdened by my situation.
If you’re able to help, please know how much it means to me. Hold your dogs tight and cherish every moment with them—tomorrow is never guaranteed. Tiki was only six, and I’m lost without her sweet, gentle, and loving spirit. Thank you for reading my story and for any support you can offer during this difficult time.
