Over the past five years, I’ve poured my heart and savings into making it the safe, comfortable place I always dreamed of, a true home wherever I go. Recently, I took my van to a shop for a transmission repair. The shop verbally promised to include an oil change, and I even reminded them before picking it up. Unfortunately, they didn’t follow through, and because it wasn’t in writing, I have no recourse. I thought the oil had been changed, but when I checked, it was two quarts low. Now, the lifters are making noise on cold starts, and I’m worried about serious engine damage. I’ve already contacted the California BAR Association, but without proof, there’s nothing they can do. I’ve tried using oil treatment, but the damage is done, and I need to address this before it gets worse. I simply can’t afford a repair like this right now.
