Hi, my name is Lisa Fredero and I’m asking for help during a difficult time in my life. Last year, I underwent brain surgery, and since then I’ve been dealing with lasting effects, including the loss of my sense of taste and smell. Adjusting to life after surgery has already been challenging, both physically and emotionally.
This year, I found out that the car I purchased was sold to me with serious engine issues. Now, the vehicle I depend on daily needs a new engine—something I simply cannot afford right now (making monthly payments on a car I can not use). Because of my medical situation, my finances have taken a hit, and this unexpected expense has put me in a really tough position.
Having a reliable car is not a luxury for me—it’s a necessity. I need it to:
Get to my doctor’s appointments
Attend work-related meetings
Run essential errands like grocery shopping
My husband and I currently share one working vehicle, which he needs for his job. He can’t continue missing work to take me to appointments, and I’m often left unable to manage basic daily tasks. Since my surgery, I’m also only comfortable driving during the daytime, which makes access to a car even more important.
I’m asking for help to cover the cost of repairing or replacing my engine so I can regain some independence and continue taking care of my health and responsibilities. Any amount, no matter how small, would mean so much to me. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser would also be deeply appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for any support you can give. With gratitude, Lisa Fredero
