Dear friends, chosen family, and kind-hearted supporters,
My name is Kevin (Amaresh) Dost, and I’m reaching out during a powerful, vulnerable moment of transformation. After a long stretch of unemployment, personal healing, and caregiving, I’ve been offered a rare opportunity to relocate and begin sacred healing work at an Ayurvedic healing resort in the mountains of North Carolina.
This opportunity reflects a long-awaited return to work that is nourishing, purpose-driven, and spiritually aligned. But to get there, I need your help.
Why I'm Moving
For many years, I worked as a math teacher and as a plant-based chef. In both roles, I gave everything I had, often at the cost of my own health. After stepping away from formal employment, I spent time in deep personal reflection, caring for animals and loved ones, and trying to rebuild.
In the past year, I’ve been supporting my partner through major life changes as she attended Ayurvedic school full-time in Asheville. At the same time, I’ve been fostering and caring for three rescue cats, along with my longtime companion cat, all of whom are part of our little circle of healing.
Now, I’ve been invited to step into a new chapter! This one combines spiritual service, plant-based nourishment, and intentional community. But the financial cost of relocating ourselves and our animals is more than I can cover alone.
️ What Your Support Will Help Cover:
- First & last month’s rent + security deposit
- Moving truck rental & fuel
- Cat travel carriers, supplies, & safe transport
- Packing supplies & final move-out expenses in Orlando
- Essentials & setup for our new home
- Basic support to get grounded in the new location until income stabilizes
Why This Means So Much
This move is not just logistical... it’s soul-level.
It’s a return to service from a healed place, not survival.
It’s a step into conscious living, shared learning, and mutual support.
It’s a chance to rebuild with intention, simplicity, and spiritual purpose.
❤️ I am deeply grateful for any support (financial, emotional, or energetic) during this transition. Whether you donate, share this page, or simply hold space for our journey, it matters.
Thank you for helping me walk through this threshold.
With love and gratitude,
Kevin (Amaresh) Dost
Everyone who donates will be part of a sacred circle I carry with me into this next chapter. Your names will be honored in my first kitchen prayer in Asheville. And as we become stable in our new home, I hope to pay forward some of that love, perhaps by supporting a cat rescue or offering healing meals in the future.
