Over the past several months, I’ve been navigating a situation that I never expected to find myself in.

While working in a professional role, I experienced ongoing issues with late and incomplete pay. What started as occasional delays turned into a consistent pattern that lasted for months. Despite continuing to show up, do my job, and give my best, I was not being paid in full or on time. I tried to be patient and understanding, hoping things would be resolved, but they never were.

Since leaving that position, I have only received a small portion of what I am owed. The remaining unpaid wages total several thousand dollars. Because of this, I’ve had to rely on family, friends, and my personal savings just to cover basic living expenses. Those savings included money I had responsibly set aside for federal taxes.

This situation has created a financial strain that I have not been able to recover from on my own. I’ve fallen behind on bills, taken on additional financial burdens, and now, despite my efforts to stabilize, I am at a point where I have to make the difficult decision to move back home. This is not a step I take lightly. Independence has always been important to me, and having to step back in this way is both humbling and challenging.

I am asking for support to help me make this transition. I will be relocating from Dallas to Philadelphia, which requires a cross-country drive. A U-Haul rental alone is estimated to cost around $1,400. Additional funds will go toward gas, lodging during the trip, and general travel-related expenses.

Contributions will also help me cover immediate financial obligations, including outstanding bills, tax responsibilities, and essential living expenses as I work toward regaining stability.
