Help Me Recover Post-Amputation

December 2024 I had life altering surgery (3 total) that resulted in the amputation of my left leg (below the knee).

Over the past 5(+) months every aspect of my life has changed, surprisingly, some changes for the better.

Currently, I'm in progress of physical therapy and relearning how to walk with the use of a prosthetic leg (or as my son calls it, "robot leg").

When I was released from the hospital back in December, the doctor stated my recovery would be 12 months (possibly longer).

I am fortunate to already be in PT and walking limited amounts with my prosthetic.

With that stated, I am still needing to address life's financial responsibilities (car, fuel, medical supplies, rent, ect...). I am currently waiting for SSA to conclude their process.

If you have ever worked with SSA you understand that watching paint dry is a full contact sport by comparison.
